Sequa.AI vs tidy

Sequa.AI is an MCP server published by sequa-ai. Marketplaces we read that list it: 1 (Docker MCP Catalog). tidy is a plugin bundle for AI coding tools published by currenjin. Marketplaces we read that list it: 1 (Claude Code: claude-plugins-community). As of our marketplace pass on 2026-10-13. This pair was picked by a reader, not by our comparison rule, so search engines are asked not to index the page.

Each figure is the marketplace's own and is never added up across marketplaces. A marketplace that publishes no figure shows none: no number is not zero.

Lines where the two differ have a tinted background and bold values. Where the data itself says which value is better (more marketplaces, a larger figure of the same marketplace, a fresher release, a verified mark on a marketplace that lists both), the better one is also marked green with ▲ and the worse one red with ▼. Where it runs, the transport, the tools, the settings, hooks, the bundle's parts, the licence and the week's changes are marked only as different: more or fewer is not better in itself.

What each says it does

Sequa.AI

In its own words, on Docker MCP Catalog:

Stop stitching context for Copilot and Cursor. With Sequa MCP, your AI tools know your entire codebase and docs out of the box.

tidy

In its own words, on Claude Code: claude-plugins-community:

tidy provides an interactive TDD workflow powered by Kent Beck's Tidy First approach. You write a plan (a markdown checklist of small tasks), then execute them one by one through a strict Red → Green → Refactor cycle. The plugin acts as a "Genie" — it executes your commands (go, refactor, commit) but never makes strategic decisions on its own. You stay in control of what to build, when to tidy, and when to commit. Key features: go: Write a failing test, then write the minimum code to pass it. One task at a time. refactor: Apply one Tidy First pattern (Guard Clause, Extract Method, Rename, etc.) and verify tests still pass. commit: Commit with strict separation — structural changes and behavioral changes never mix. Built-in Tidy First patterns: 11 tidying patterns with prioritization (eliminate duplication → improve clarity → reduce complexity). Context-constrained: Only loads the current task, never the full plan. Keeps the conversation focused.

How to run each

Sequa.AI As a local MCP server: Docker image

Claude Code
claude mcp add --env "API_KEY=<YOUR_API_KEY>" --transport stdio sequa -- docker run -i --rm -e API_KEY mcp/sequa

Requires: API_KEY (secret)

tidy

No data for an automatic command: what its marketplaces declare does not say unambiguously how to connect it.

Commands built only from what the marketplaces declare; the full set for every client is on each card.

Tools each declares

The marketplaces of tidy publish no list of tools, so we do not compare tools.

Settings each asks for

The marketplaces of tidy publish no settings it asks for, so we do not compare settings.

Data comes from the Docker MCP Catalog (desktop.docker.com/mcp/catalog) and Docker Hub. Data comes from the public marketplace file https://github.com/anthropics/claude-plugins-community/blob/HEAD/.claude-plugin/marketplace.json. Figures come from our own regular passes over the marketplaces, last read on . We publish no contact details for plugin publishers.
