Read-aloud extensions live or die on voice quality, which no catalog can measure. What a catalog can tell you is which ones people kept: audience size, rating and whether the listing is still being maintained.
Candidates are Chrome Web Store listings whose title names the job (“text to speech”, “read aloud”, “tts”, with at least 2 000 users and at least 50 ratings). We then add up to 6 listings the catalog judges to do the same job even though their title never says so, because ranking by who writes the keyword best is backwards. Everything is ordered by current audience, read in our own daily pass over the store. Ordering by audience is not a verdict on quality: how many people kept an extension is what we can observe, and how good it is for you is not. On this page it added nothing: everything the catalog judged close enough was already found by title.
