Common questions
How do I connect install and uninstall events?
Add your extension to a project by its Chrome Web Store ID, copy the welcome and uninstall links from Setup → Hosted pages and add them to the extension. Then run Verify and watch each event arrive. You do not need a backend of your own. Step by step: quick start. What you get: Chrome extension analytics.
Why do Chrome Web Store user numbers differ from my install events?
They are two different numbers. Installs, uninstalls and reinstalls in the panel are events your extension reports through the generated links and hooks, starting on the day you connect it. Weekly users is the figure the Chrome Web Store publishes for the listing: the panel reads it at least once a day, shows it next to your events and never adds the two together. See the comparison with the store dashboard.
Do I need an account?
No. The public catalog needs no account at all, and in the panel you can start anonymously: your browser gets a cryptographic device identity. Some features, including paid plans, need you to sign in with Google or Apple; signing in also lets your other devices open the same data. Clearing browser data can make an anonymous identity unrecoverable. Details are in section 3 of the Terms of Service.
How do I delete my data or my account?
In the app you can remove extensions and sources and disconnect Telegram or Web Push at any time. Self-service account deletion is planned; until then, send a request to privacy@extops.dev, and we may ask you to confirm that the account is yours. If you have an active subscription, cancel it first on the plan page of the web app. Details are in section 7 of the Privacy Policy.
Where can I see plans, limits and refunds?
Plans and their limits are on the pricing page. You buy, change and cancel a plan on the plan page of the web app. The first payment of a subscription comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee; see the Refund Policy.
How do service and SSL certificate alerts work?
Add the HTTPS address of your site, API or MCP endpoint to a web service project. Once a day the panel reads its TLS certificate and warns you 14, 7, 3 and 1 day before it expires, on every plan. Warnings arrive in the panel inbox; Web Push and Telegram are optional channels you turn on in settings. More on scheduled availability checks and heartbeat reports: SSL certificate monitoring and the monitoring documentation.
